This summer 2016 made me look forward to Nakajima Yuto‘s drama, “HOPE“, and “Doctor X SP“. However, while I was waiting for HOPE to premiere, I decided to see the earlier dramas that premiered and eventually love some of them.
Here are some dramas I’m following this Summer 2016.
First on my list is the deka thriller “ON Ijou Hanzai Sousakan Todo Hinako” starring Haru together with Kanjani8‘s Yokoyama Yu, Watabe Atsuro, and Kaname Jun among others. ON has that “Specialist” vibe so I instantly like it where Haru is more interested in learning more about crimes and why the criminal committed those crimes than the actual chasing of culprits. Speaking of chasing the culprits, Yokoyama’s character seem to be so obsessed with handing down his own punishment that it’s becoming a pain. Nevertheless, ON is like a switch where it might turn you on or off.
Next on my list is the feel-good romance drama featuring three ikemens and that’s Sukina Hito ga Iru Koto. This drama has its fair share of haters before it even started but after seeing the 1st episode, it makes me want to see it more. Kiritani Mirei is just like her character in “Vampire in Love” where she also plays a hopeless romantic Patissiere. I know its weird to see her loving and baking cakes when she’s so thin but I really like her quirky and naive persona in the drama. One thing I also like about this drama is the “Lunch Queen” vibe since she gets to live with three gorgeous brothers, woohoo, and that kiss between her and Yamazaki Kento in the first episode is enough for me to follow this drama. haha. Oh well, haters gonna hate but I’m really looking forward to more bromance among Yamazaki, Miura Shohei, and Nomura Shuhei.
Next is “Hapi Mari” starring Dean Fujioka nd Seino Nana. I’ve read the manga, which is a smut, so they tone down some of the scenes in this drama. Seino Nana is adorable but that wig needs to go, while Dean Fuijoka might be hot as Shunin in DameKoi but he looks stiff in this drama, so I usually spend the minutes ogling at him.
Last but not the least is Takizawa Hideaki‘s romance drama, Seisei Suru Hodo, Ai Shiteru, together with Takie Emi. The last Tackey’s drama I’ve seen is probably “Orthros no Inu” and that’s not even romance and I don’t have good things to say about his “Strawberry on the Shortcake”, haha. Anyway, never mind their age gap since Tackey still looks so effing fine, this drama is not just romance but also about career (feat. high fashion labels from Tiffany & co. to Jimmy Choo’s). I’m not really into extra-marital affairs but aside from Tackey, I’m also betting on Nakamura Aoi. Also, watch-out for other love stories that might bloom from this drama that includes Takei’s childhood friends turned flatmates.
That’s all for now, I haven’t seen HOPE yet but I’m downloading the raw now. Aside from that, I also have Toki o Kakeru Shoujo on my watch list. I know it’s going to be a tear-jerker so I’m holding it off for now.
